Modern Warfare 3: April 9 Patch Notes.
With Season 3 in full swing, the developer continues to tweak and polish every area of the latest Call of Duty game, from bug fixes to weapon tweaks that can impact the ever-changing meta.
GLOBAL
STABILITY
- Fixed a crash that could occur when viewing weapon attachments.
SETUP
- Fixed various issues with quick equipment in the store.
- Fixed the display names of Season 3 Prestige emblems.
SETTINGS
- Fixed an issue that caused the telemetry widget to always be displayed with a delay.
MULTIPLAYER MODE
UIX
- Bugs fixed
- Arsenal unlocking quests will now display as a splash screen upon completion.
- The removal of some conversion kits is now properly reflected in Gunsmith.
- The Weekly Challenge countdown timer will no longer show the wrong time as the patch approaches the mid-season.
- Fixed the location of the FJX Horus in the Gunsmith.
- Calling Card and Emblem rewards for Weapon Mastery are now properly displayed in the activity progress report.
- Removing a weapon sticker at the Gunsmith will no longer cause placement indicators to disappear.
- Corrected the Pros and Cons labels for several attachments to better reflect their true properties.
GAME PROCESS
- Improved de-prioritization of spawn locations while nearby killstreak is active.
PROGRESS
- The Ripper Light Stock for the FJX Horus will no longer appear locked and have no unlock requirements.
- Improved one-shot kill tracking in What’s Your Sign? Camouflage for MORS.
CARDS

- Added additional respawn points to increase the likelihood of selecting a quality character in Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint modes.

- Enemy nameplates are no longer visible through tunnel walls.

- Increased maximum damage range from 31.8 m to 44.5 m (+40%).
- Increased the near-medium damage range from 44.5 m to 51.8 m (+17%).

- Optical attachments with a built-in laser are no longer compatible with the ECS Requieter Suppressor muzzle.

- The duplicate nozzle for masking the flash with ZEHMN35 compensation has been removed.

- Hurricane 9 With variable optics
- The ability to equip this incompatible application has been removed.

- Improved penetration damage consistency across enemy operators.

ADVANTAGES
- Ninja Vest (Vest)
- Players equipped with reinforced boots now get the effect of a running shoe.
- Compression cover (vest)
- Launcher kills now immediately trigger health regeneration.
EQUIPMENT
- EMD grenade (tactical)
- Changed the key bindings for tracker removal to interact with keyboard input devices.
- Improved prioritization when multiple actions are available to bind keys to delete a tracker.
- Tracker deletion time is now shown on the HUD progress bar.
- Scatter mine (tactical)
- Enemy stun effects are now correctly applied in hardcoded modes.
- C4 (Deadly)
- Detonation can no longer occur until it has stuck to a surface for 500ms.
Note: This mechanic was expected for the Season 3 update, but did not work as intended at the time of release.

- Trying to turn around while swimming will no longer result in the player being unable to fire their weapon.
