Warzone 2 Ranked Rules and Restrictions

Players can progress through ranked matches to advance through skill divisions by earning SR, getting as many kills and assists as possible, and ranking high. This will give you rewards.

The squad size for Warzone 2 Ranked Play has been  trio limited  , meaning you can only play Competitive with two other players.

Unfortunately for those with a full squad of four, someone will have to sit it out. However, since this is just a Warzone 2 ranked beta, there’s a chance the developers could change that number, or even add a second playlist for fours, duos, and maybe even solos.

For now, there will be no major weapon restrictions other than  players not being able to use the Riot Shield  . Currently, this is the only limitation for weapons known to us. We’ll be sure to update this section if any other weapons or equipment are restricted for Warzone 2 Ranked Play. But a few killstreaks won’t be available in Ranked Play as the Warzone 2 developers have confirmed that the Cluster Mine and Bomb Drone are among the restricted items. The Revive Pistol replaces the Cluster Mine at Buy Stations.

In terms of vehicles,  the Heavy Chopper will not be available  in Warzone 2 ranked play, nor will there be vehicles with turrets.

There will be no multi-circles in Warzone 2 Ranked Play   , and the developers have also decided to make some “changes to the redeployment mechanic”. We have yet to understand the full scope of these changes before rolling out, but we’ll update this section when we know more.

The circle will close in the classic way: players will have to follow one zone, and not several, as in normal matches.

Also, there will be no  public Firesale events  , so don’t expect to see low prices at buy stations during a Warzone 2 ranked match.

All restrictions:

  • Trio Squads Only
  • Only Al Mazra
  • No protective shields
  • No cluster mines
  • No bomb drones
  • No sales
  • No heavy helicopters
  • No multi-circles
  • You can’t throw stones at people in the Gulag
