Ranked play mode in Warzone 2 can be expected next season.

The Call of Duty team has officially confirmed that  Warzone 2 will be getting a  ranked play mode as early as its third season. The developers have teased the ranked game for Season 3.

Ranked play in Warzone has been in development for a while now, and it finally looks like it’s nearing its debut. However, the developers are clearly aiming to create a polished product rather than rushing to a desired mode. There is no release date for Warzone 2’s ranked mode yet  . However, Warzone 2 players can expect this mode to arrive in Season 3. We expect Warzone 2’s ranked play mode to arrive either in the season or mid-season in 2023, but it’s impossible to predict anything more accurate.

The most likely design for Warzone 2’s ranked mode is the Iron Trials and Titanium Trials modes from the original game.

Titanium Trials raised the player’s health to a whopping 300 and slowed down health regeneration, making weapon skill and accuracy extremely important. Equipment drops were more expensive, but the price dropped as the match progressed, and ground loot was significantly better.

Iron Trials and Titanium Trials were very similar, but instead Iron Trials had 250 HP, fewer vehicles and killstreaks, and more expensive buy stations.

In terms of ranks, we expect them to be similar to the ranked games in Modern Warfare 2  , which have been well-received by players since launch in Season 2.

Players could earn points for kills with a multiplier applied to placement, similar to the format used in tournaments such as the World Series of Warzone.
