August 16 Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Patch Notes.

On August 16, an update dedicated to the preparations for the long-awaited MW3 show was released. However, it also brought a lot of weapon buffs and nerfs that are sure to impact the meta.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue where some players were unable to access the Battle Pass but still lost CP after purchasing it.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to instantly fall prone.
  • Fixed an issue where Akimbo Challenge progress was not being tracked correctly for the FTAC Siege.
  • Fixed an issue where an invisible object could interact with Lethal, Tactical, and Explosives in Las Almas Market.
  • Fixed an issue affecting key bindings when adding settings as quick settings.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Preview and Quick Equip buttons to be hidden when attempting to click them with the mouse in the Events tab.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Tonfa melee weapons to have outdated unlock conditions. 
  • Fixed an issue where the sound effects of the Semtex dropped by the Chain Reaction modifier in Havoc were not playing properly.
  • Fixed an issue where using the “Battle Buddy AI” weapon screen could cause an error.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue that prevented some players from entering the DMZ. 
  • Fixed an issue that caused some PS4 players to experience a game freeze in a specific section of Al Mazra.
  • Fixed an issue where Buy Station icons could be displayed on the tactical map during the Battle Royale pre-lobby.
  • Fixed an issue in the DMZ where the Tac Map image could be displayed on the ground near the Al Safwa Quarry in Al Mazra.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to get stuck in the quad bike near the UAV turret in the DMZ.
  • Fixed an issue where the player’s screen would still be affected by the plutonium element despite not being near it.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players not being kicked out due to being idle in Vondel Lockdown Mode (look for this mode to come back in this week’s playlist update)
  • Fixed an issue in Warzone Ranked Play that caused the “Top 250” button to be disabled.
