Modern Warfare 3 and MWZ November 17th Patch Notes

Considering it’s a relatively new game, MW3 does have its shortcomings. The developers have wasted no time in identifying and fixing issues that have arisen since launch with frequent updates. However, updates are not always aimed at fixing bugs, as developers sometimes seek to balance or tweak gameplay features.

MULTIPLAYER

UIX

  • New opportunities
    • Added the ability to preview camouflages for weapons and spare parts obtained during weekly tests.
    • Weekly Challenges will now show the corresponding base weapon as a parts reward.
  • Error correction
    • Resolved an issue that allowed players to select modes that are not supported in private matches.
    • Players will no longer get stuck in the “Token Activation” state after using an experience token.
    • Addressed an exploit that allowed players to equip replacement parts without meeting the minimum requirements.

GAMEPLAY

  • Movement
    • Tac Sprint refresh delay after sliding has been reduced by 75%.
    • Reduced the Tac Sprint upgrade time to match the Infantry Vest/Running Shoes.
    • Decreased sprint delay after sliding by 53%.

At launch, we introduced a delay after the transition to Tac Sprint update time. A review of player feedback indicated that the previous delay was too aggressive. Today’s updates aim to improve the fluidity of movement without making repetitive sliding and tactical sprinting the only viable option for players.

  • Unlocking the Armory
    • Victories will now unlock the arsenal without first completing daily challenges.
      • Look for UI changes in future game updates to better reflect this change.

  • Underground crossing
    • Adjusted the spawn point in the parking lot to prevent players from dying when respawning.

    • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to become invisible.

We are investigating reports of further remote turret exploits. It will be turned back on for use as soon as we deem it safe to use.

ZOMBIE

GAMEPLAY

        • We have released a fix that allows players to complete the Golden Mystery and Golden Ivory camos using non-blueprint weapons.

Our teams are continuing to investigate the camouflage issue to completion and intend to release a fix that will allow the creation of weapon blueprints to be completed. We thank everyone for your patience and the communications we have received regarding weapon configurations as we continue our investigation.
