Modern Warfare 3: Rumors about the return of Fortune’s Keep in the second season.

Fortune’s Keep launched in June 2022. The island map featured a vibrant and dynamic landscape with unique POIs such as a winery, a medieval barracks, and a seaside village. Community members fell in love with the map, but it only lasted four months before being removed with the launch of  Warzone 2 .

On January 29, content creators like Majin took to social media to announce that they had received a “unique package.” The “Call of Duty Season 2” package can be seen in the image below, and they used the words “Good Luck” and “Save” in the text hinting at unboxing the package.

At this point, very few details are known about the return of Fortune’s Keep to Warzone, other than that we can expect Fortune’s Keep to appear in Season 2. Whether this will be the Season 2 update, currently expected on February 7, or later in the season remains to be seen.

It is currently unclear whether Ashika Island will leave the war zone in 2024 to make way for Fortuna Fortuna and Rebirth Island. Japanese-Themed Terrain is the least popular Renaissance map currently available in Warzone, and if one map were to go, it would certainly be Ashika Island.

However, it is possible that no Resurgence map will leave Warzone in 2024. Activision has said it’s the “most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: Warzone history” in 2024, so we could see five Resurgence maps available at once.

Additionally, some players are expecting changes to the map in the new version of Fortune’s Keep. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on how the map changes for its long-awaited return.
