How to unlock every weapon in Season 1?

Infinity Ward has reinvented the way players unlock weapons with the introduction of the new ”  Platforms ” feature. Because some weapons are different versions of others, you will actually be leveling up certain weapons to unlock more.

Don’t worry if this sounds confusing, as we have a full explanation of weapon platforms and how to unlock each weapon in Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded.

Modern Warfare 2 weapon platforms explained

A new feature in the Modern Warfare 2 weapon platform means that not every weapon is unlocked by rank, you really have to work your way through the weapon tree to unlock all the weapons on that platform.

For example, to unlock weapons like the FTAC Recon and 556 Icarus, you need to reach at least level 14 with M4. Then, to unlock M16, you need to reach level 14 on 556 Icarus.

Some attachments and camouflages will be available for the entire platform, which will greatly speed up and simplify the leveling of these weapons.

We will cover how to unlock every weapon in the game through the weapon platforms, as well as a list of weapons that are either on their own platform or not on any.

How to unlock non-platform weapons in Modern Warfare 2

All of these weapons are currently on their own platform and can be unlocked simply by reaching a high enough rank or sector in the Battle Pass. Weapons can be added to platforms as new ones come in, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted if their platforms get expanded.
