Features of Competitive Integrity
- Start to End: Players who disable or withdraw from matches will receive SR penalties as well as temporary disqualification with increasing penalties for repeat offences.
- CP Forgiveness: If a player disconnects or logs out in the middle of a match, all team members not in that player’s party will not lose ANY CP.
- It is still possible to earn SR if players can overcome their disadvantage, but losing when outnumbered will not result in a loss of SR for players not in the departing player’s party.
- Fair Fights, Equal Teams: If a player logs out or disconnects from a game before the start of the match, the match will be canceled and will not count. The rest of the players will return to the main menu.
- Professional Behavior Only: Friendly fire is enabled in ranked play in accordance with CDL rules. Repeated friendly fire will result in exclusion of players from games, as well as penalties and disqualification.
- Relegation Protection: Upon promotion to a higher division, players will receive temporary relegation protection and will not lose SR for the first three games in the new division. After this initial protection, if players lose enough SR to be demoted, they will first be demoted to the minimum threshold of their current Skill Division rather than demoted. Losing the next match will result in a demotion.
- Demotion protection also applies to the player in the first 3 games of each Ranked Play season.
- Group CP Restrictions: To ensure competitive fairness and match balance in higher divisions, players in certain divisions may only team with players who have a current CP. The player with the highest skill division in the squad determines which group SR limits will be used:
- Iridescent (including the top 250) and Crimson: can be teamed with players from the 1st skill division.
- Diamond: Can participate in 2 skill divisions.
- Bronze – Platinum: Can be collected without restrictions.
