DMZ: Patch Notes for Warzone 2 Season 4

The DMZ menu  has received a major update  in Warzone 2 Season 4. The developers have confirmed “an update to the DMZ menu to improve navigation.”

The redesigned DMZ menu has been on the wishlists of players for some time now.

In addition to the updated look, players have also received a new Forward Operating Base feature. FOB will act as a new menu section where players can keep track of objectives that will lead to new DMZ updates.

The new DMZ menu includes the following sections:

  • Mission objectives (mission selection)
  • Location objectives (map issues)
  • Forward Operating Base (upgrade goals)
  • Notes (compilation)

Vondel is the new DMZ Exclusion Zone in Season 4  , and the new map hosts 18 Operators at once. Vondel is smaller than Al Mazrah and somewhat larger than Ashika Island. Players can discover a DMZ-exclusive contract called  Signal Intelligence  , which will allow operators to hack phones and access contract rewards nearby.

Dynamic weather has arrived as DMZ players discover a new location. This new feature is presented as  fog  , caused by Vondel’s location below sea level. Fog may impair player visibility in Season 4 DMZ.

Consider the Forward Operating Base (FOB), the central hub of the DMZ. Here, operators will complete tasks to unlock upgrades in the DMZ.

The FOB is divided into four categories of updates (the elements of which are shown in the image above for illustration purposes only):

  • Weapon Locker
    • Insured weapon slots
    • Reload time of insured weapon
    • Increasing the size of the smuggled weapons stash
  • Cache
    • Wallet unlock
    • Wallet capacity
    • The size of the cache for keys and contraband is increased.
  • Rewards Board
    • Personal exile
    • barter recipes
    • Buy stations with discounts
  • communication station
    • Access to urgent missions

FOB contains Passive Objectives, a new set of mission types that reward players with permanent DMZ upgrades.

  • Phalanx New DMZ Faction
    • Season 04 introduces a new faction, the Phalanx. Meanwhile, the REDACTED faction we met in Season 03 has unceremoniously disappeared from operations in the DMZ. There is no further information about their whereabouts … Station Chief Keith Laswell conducts operations directly with the Phalanx, as they are interested in an unknown enemy group that has invaded Vondel. Phalanx and Black Mous will go on missions together, gathering information to uncover the squad’s identity.
  • Mission objectives menu
    • A new UI/UX menu has been added where players can view and track their faction missions, upgrades, location challenges, and notes.
  • seasonal reset
    • Caches with keys and mission items are reset.
    • Faction missions reset
    • Insured weapon slots are reset
    • Active Duty Slots DO NOT Rest
    • Smuggled Weapons Inventory DOES NOT reset
  • Signals Intelligence New DMZ contract
    • Signals Intelligence allows you to hack 3 other contracts to earn passive income
  • New weapon case and rewards
    • Travel to Vondel to find the bullfrog and get all new rewards.
