Modern Warfare 3 Beta: Platforms, Dates and More.

MW3 Beta Schedule, including start and end dates:

• October 6-7:  MW3 Beta Early Access on PlayStation.
• October 8-10:  MW3 Open Beta for PlayStation.
• October 12-13:  MW3 Beta Early Access for Xbox and PC + PlayStation Open Beta
• October 14-16:  MW3 Open Beta on all platforms.

Modern Warfare 3 beta periods will begin and end  at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM UK  on the respective dates listed above and will be  available on PlayStation  ,  Xbox and PC platforms  .

To play the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer beta, you will need to  install Call of Duty HQ  and two beta packs , which take up about  25 GB  .

CoD HQ is a launcher for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, so if you have either of those games, you’ll be fine. If you don’t have it installed, you’ll need  to download the free Warzone  .

The Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta will be available to everyone, but  if you have a beta code, you’ll be the first to play during the Early Access period.

To ensure you get early access to the MW3 Beta, the best way to get your MW3 Early Access code is to pre-order the game. If you choose a digital copy of MW3, PlayStation and Xbox players will be automatically registered for the beta. Those who prefer a physical copy will receive an MW3 Beta activation code.

Keep an eye out for giveaways through social media accounts, as well as through service providers like Xfinity and EE, as they provide beta codes.

If you’re not sure whether you need an online subscription service to access the beta, here’s a simple guide to help you:

• PlayStation:  PlayStation Plus is not required to play.
• Xbox:  Xbox Game Pass Core is only required during the Xbox Early Access period (not required during the Xbox Open Beta period).
• PC:  Battle.net or Steam account required.

The Modern Warfare 3 beta will be  downloadable on a 24GB PlayStation,  but keep in mind that you’ll also need to install Call of Duty HQ, which is around 100GB. So, if you don’t already have Warzone downloaded, you may need up to 125GB of free hard drive space.

In the case of Xbox, it is not yet known at the moment what the MW3 beta file size is, but once we get closer to the launch date, more details are expected to be released.

Call of Duty has confirmed the full  list of MW3 beta maps  , which will be available throughout  both weekends  .

Following the conclusion of the first weekend of the MW3 multiplayer beta, Sledgehammer Games has announced that new content will be arriving with the second weekend, including a brand new mode, new maps and more.

Here’s all the content that will be available in the MW3 beta:

• Modes:  Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Ground War, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, Outlaw.
• Maps:  “Favela”, “Skidrow”, “Estate”, “Rust”, “Popov Power Plant”, “High-Rise”, “Orlov Military Base”.

Additionally, the team announced that “major issues” regarding  slide lag  ,  spawn locations ,  and  enemy visibility  , among others, will also be improved.
