What is the Warzone 2 Assault on Vondel event?
During the Warzone 2 Assault on Vondel event, players will have the opportunity to unlock new community-wide items by completing challenges.
The Assault on Vondel event starts on June 14th , the launch day of Season 4, and ends on July 7th .
The Season 4 Blog confirms that the new Operator Nikto has captured Vondel and it’s your job to free him: “This deep cover agent is taking over Vondel with his camouflaged mercenary army; As the Operator, your mission is to fight back against the secret army of Nikto and reclaim the city in the Vondel Assault launch event.
Players will have the opportunity to earn medals for personal unlock rewards by completing challenges. In addition, completed tasks will also contribute to large-scale community rewards.
At the moment we don’t have any information about the Warzone 2 Assault on Vondel events, but take a look below at some of the rewards you can claim.
As players work towards collecting medals by completing Assault on Vondel challenges, they will unlock community rewards along the way. These rewards can be obtained in the form of new features that you discover on the Vondel map.
awards revealed so far:
- Reinforcement Flare
- Favorite Supply Box
- Taxicabs on the Canals
- Tonfa Melee weapon
We expect the Reinforcement Rocket, Favorite Supply Crate, and Canal Taxi to be community rewards, while the Tonfa melee weapon is expected to be a personal reward.
Tonfa is billed as “the last attack to unlock Vondel” so you might not be able to get it right away.
The Taxicab award is for delivering affordable autonomous boats to Vondel. You will be able to use these autopilot boats to navigate the new map.
The Favorite Supply Box will give the player access to their favorite weapons. Warzone players will be familiar with this new gear as it was previously known as the Personal Supply Box.
