Warzone 2 Season 4: Vondel map leak, DMZ reset
Warzone 2 Season 4 is set to release on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 , as that is the date the Season 3 Battle Pass will expire according to the in-game timer.
At the same time, the developers have not yet officially announced the start date for the 4th season of Warzone 2, so there is every chance that it can be rescheduled if there are any problems. We will be sure to update this section as soon as we know more.
According to sources, Warzone 2 Season 4 will introduce Vondel, a brand new Resurgence map developed by Beenox, who also worked on the popular Resurgence Island. The reports claim that the action will take place in Amsterdam, where the Modern Warfare 2 Tradecraft campaign mission took place.
To start with, Vondel is only expected to cater for Resurgence mode, but DMZ support is likely to come later.
At the moment, it is unclear if Vondel will replace Ashika Island in Warzone 2 Season 4 or if they will be put on rotation. Ashika Island has been extremely popular since its debut, so many fans would be disappointed to see it disappear.
Infinity Ward have confirmed that Warzone 2 Season 4 will also bring another DMZ progress reset. Extraction Mode fans will see their inventory cleared of all contraband, keys, and mission items to make room for all the fresh content coming in the update.
Insured weapon slots will also be reset as Warzone 2 Season 4 introduces new ways to unlock them in the future.
However, DMZ players can rest assured that rewards such as blueprints, skins, and calling cards will remain intact as they are permanent items.
There’s still time before the start of Warzone 2 Season 4, so Infinity Ward has yet to start announcing everything that the major update will bring to the game. That being said, there is certain content that pops up like clockwork with each new season, so players can expect a lot from the same.
Here’s everything expected to be included in the Warzone 2 Season 4 update:
- New battle pass
- Brand new weapon
- Operators and skins
- Weapon buffs and nerfs
- The quality of life is changing
- Changes to the map of Al Mazra and Asika Island
This is everything we know about the fourth season of Warzone 2 at the moment.
