Warzone 2 Season 3 DMZ Changes: Barter System, Workbench and more

In an official post covering all the new content for Season 3 in Warzone 2, the developers revealed that the DMZ will be getting a new barter system with the release of the Seasonal Update.

This allows players to exchange the items they collect for valuables at buy stations. Although you cannot trade peer-to-peer through this system, you can still trade items during a match with allies. The DMZ barter system in Warzone 2 will allow you to receive valuables in exchange for collected items.

Workbenches can also be found near buy stations, allowing you to modify contraband weapons  with attachments for a nominal cash fee. This will come in handy if you are unhappy with the current state of your weapon.

In Season 3, each DMZ player will be given three separate Operators at the start of a match. Each of these operatives have their own items for the soldiers, such as a backpack, self-healing, and a gas mask.

You will be able to choose which Active Duty operator you want to involve for each DMZ mission. So you can choose one for the main story missions while the other is tasked with collecting items.

The update will also introduce a mysterious new faction with five levels of missions and bosses for players to fight. There will be new faction missions and a new contract known as the Secure Delivery Contract.

In this contract, containers filled with the necessary equipment will be marked in the Exclusion Zone, allowing players to create their Operators if they failed in a previous pass through the DMZ.

The developers have confirmed that more details will be revealed on the DMZ blog ahead of the launch of Season 3, including the introduction of new types of backpacks and body armor.
