Verdansk Returns: Warzone’s Resurgence Sees Players Surging

In the third season of Call of Duty: Warzone, the developers brought back the iconic Verdansk map, which had previously disappeared from the game in 2021. This event generated a lot of interest among fans.

On the Twitch streaming platform, Warzone broadcasts have reached over 352,000 concurrent viewers, with over 11,000 channels participating. Warzone hasn’t seen comparable success since November 2022, when Warzone 2.0 was released .

However, it has not yet been possible to reach a historical record in the number of viewers – at its peak, the game attracted 615 thousand viewers. After that, the views dropped sharply, not exceeding 300 thousand people. Nevertheless, the Insider Gaming portal assumes that the total number of viewers on various platforms (including Twitch and YouTube) during the return of Verdansk reached about 500-700 thousand.

Currently, the numbers on Twitch have become significantly lower, and now broadcasts collect about 70 thousand viewers.

The return of Verdansk has brought Call of Duty: Warzone into the spotlight and has seen a significant increase in player activity. With the release of Warzone Season 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, concurrent players on Steam have increased by over 200% compared to the previous period.

Warzone has peaked at 113,812 users on Steam in the last 24 hours. There are currently around 48,175 players in the game. The last time we saw such high concurrent players was in early February, when we reached 102,000.
