Return of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Fortress to Warzone
During COD Next, Call of Duty announced that fan-favorite maps Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep from the first Warzone are returning to the game.
Luckily for fans of the mode, Call of Duty has unexpectedly confirmed that the Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep maps will be returning to Warzone, allowing players to once again enjoy some of the most popular battlegrounds.
Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will be coming to Warzone in 2024 on two different release dates. Fortune’s Keep is scheduled to launch first, in early 2024 , with Rebirth Island coming later in 2024 . They will both appear sometime after the integration of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
Additionally, Ted Timmins, senior creative director at Raven Software, confirmed that the reintroduction of the maps is being led by the teams that originally brought them to life, High Moon Studios and Beenox.
While not many details were revealed about whether the maps will remain the same as their original version or will see updates and changes, players were quick to point out that this time consoles will have access to the FoV slider feature, which was not Available in the original Warzone.
While Warzone will feature three maps at the start of Modern Warfare 3’s first season following the integration of the new map “Urzikstan”, the addition of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will give players even more ways to enjoy the free-to-play game.
