All unlocked MW2 content will be carried over to Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty has finally announced new details on how MW2 content will be ported to this year’s Modern Warfare 3, including weapons, sets, operators, camouflages and more.
The term “port” refers to the porting of existing content from Modern Warfare 2, allowing that additional content to be made into Modern Warfare 3 . Content includes items such as weapons and decorative items such as kits, operators, rewards, and unlocks.
- Weapon
- Operators and operation skins
- Blueprints
- Camouflage for MW2 weapons
- Charms for weapons
- stickers
- Emblems
- Loading screens
- Double Experience Tokens
- Some skins for commercial vehicles and combat tracks
Previously , the MW2 weapons you unlocked from level 1 to 55 will carry over to Modern Warfare 3 , keeping both level and progress status .
MW2 weapons will be available in MW3 outdoor multiplayer but will not be available during the beta.
MW2 base operators must be unlocked in MW2 with exceptional cases (such as Campaign or Spec Ops modes) and only happen in Modern Warfare 3 if you’ve unlocked their skins , as those skins will carry over.
Luckily for many players, all MW2 camouflages will be received in Modern Warfare 3 . Although, like in previous games, you can only use MW2 camo on MW2 weapons .
One of the biggest issues that consumes a year when a new game comes out is the availability of camo that unlocks months, so this news will certainly be taken at an expense. In addition, players will also have the opportunity to unlock new camos as Modern Warfare 3 will have its own roster of camouflages and attacks to unlock.
Important Content Transfer Information: If tactical vehicles or specific lethal or tactical gear are not available in Modern Warfare 3, unlocked items from MW2 will not carry over to MW3. This is due to the lack of elements in the MW3 ecosystem.
