Update Notes for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 April 19th
A new update for the game was released on April 19th, so for those wondering what the patch notes entail.
In the patch, the developers improved both “the usability of rotating the joystick of the controller in weapon preview mode, preventing the weapon from sliding back and forth” and “the Buy Station interface for players using the controller to now start with the choice of equipment.”
Stability
- This update contains fixes for a number of known crashes.
Adjustments
- Improved the usability of controller joystick rotation in weapon preview mode by preventing the weapon from sliding back and forth.
- When you view a sector from a Battle Pass map, the selection will now automatically lead you to the most valuable reward in the sector.
Global bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where the kill cam would sometimes not work properly.
- Fixed an issue that caused users to be returned to the main menu after trying to enter the battle pass for the second time.
- Fixed an issue where even though the Dismemberment and Gore effects were disabled, enemies still exploded when using the Singularity blueprint.
- Fixed an issue where decals for CDL weapons would not display on weapons in-game or in Gunsmith.
- Fixed an issue where you could start searching in the player invite popup when you shouldn’t.
- Fixed an issue in the Events tab that caused the reward price to be displayed in red even if you had enough trophies to get it.
- Fixed an issue where some rewards on the level progress screen did not have a description.
- Fixed an issue where a player could be thrown to the main menu after scrolling through the recent players section on the social media screen.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in players not seeing rain at the Pelayo Lighthouse after filling up the Kortak Squad.
- Fixed an issue that caused the base TAQ-56 to display when previewing non-blueprint rewards for ranked play.

Battle Royale Changes
- Improved the Buy Station UI for players using a controller to start with gear selection.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in players not receiving rewards for the “Hold the Line” quest after completing it.
Bug fixes in Battle Royale
- Fixed an issue that caused players to incorrectly apply respawn protection after a Gulag match.
- Fixed an issue that caused players to appear in the Battle Royale lobby with the default gear set instead of their favorite gear.
- Fixed a bug that caused players to crash when trying to open AAR.
DMZ settings
- Added a one-minute countdown at the start of a DMZ match before the player can use the UAV Killstreak.
- Added a message to DMZ Active Duty operator slots explaining that the last operator cannot be fired.
DMZ bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Enforcer raid reward was not equipping properly in the DMZ.
- Fixed an issue where the DMZ “Double Cross” mission incorrectly required a specific stash location.
- Fixed an issue that caused players using a controller to be unable to pick up an enemy’s backpack after eliminating it.
- Fixed an issue where weapons could duplicate after resetting and storing inventory in the DMZ.
