The fan-favorite Plunder mode is missing from Warzone 2, but….
Previously, Plunder mode was a free Warzone mode. With respawns enabled and pre-selected gear, players were challenged to collect as much cash as possible. It was the perfect place to level up weapons. Warzone players were unhappy when Plunder was temporarily retired and then disappeared completely with the launch of Warzone 2.
Following information that revealed a Plundr-like emblem next to Cranked, a new gameplay leak has emerged proving the heist is in the Warzone 2 game files.
A video uploaded by data miner ” CoDSploitz ” shows the player in third person with a classic Plunder HUD in the corner. We see a progress bar that goes from $0 to $1 million, which seems to prove that there is at least a rudimentary version of Plunder in the files.
In the game files, there is no guarantee that the Prey will appear in the second season, or at all. The devs haven’t announced a roadmap for Season 2 yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know if Infinity Ward or Raven announce loot or any other fan-favorite mode that returns in Season 2 or beyond.
