STB 556: Best Equipment for Warzone 2
The STB 556 is one of the best assault rifles in MW2 and is somewhat similar to a submachine gun, making it ideal for close combat.
This weapon is surprisingly effective in Al Masra, especially when used in conjunction with ranged weapons such as sniper rifles, infantry rifles, and battle rifles.
More changes have been made to the long-range meta since the August 16th update, but thankfully content creator WhosImmortal has found the perfect and easy-to-use STB 556 boot for Warzone 2 Season 5.

- Ammo: 5.56 High Velocity
- Shop: 42 Round Mag
- Optics: OP-V4 scope
WhosImmortal chose the 508mm Rear Guard barrel to improve range and bullet speed, which in combination with the Harbinger D20 increases bullet speed and damage range, and helps control recoil.
He then opted for 5.56 High-Velocity ammunition to further increase bullet velocity, as he felt the pistol’s recoil was “easy” to control and therefore avoided the use of a subbarrel.
Finally, WhosImmortal puts a 42-round magazine , and has also equipped the Aim OP-V4 optic to detect enemies at long distances, especially on large maps such as Al Mazra.
In his video, WhosImmortal revealed that he really enjoys using this gear, despite it being “a bit underrated and underused”. He believes the STB 556 is an all-round, all-round rifle that excels in a variety of missions given its ability to adapt to different configurations. It can serve as a sniper support, function as an AR/SMG hybrid, or be optimized for mid to long range combat.
