Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Faction Showdown event.
Call of Duty has officially announced Season 5 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, set to release on August 2nd. The announcement revealed an exciting set of new content.
According to the Season 5 Blog, the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown limited-time event is scheduled to start on August 4, 2023 and run until August 16, 2023 . As with previous events, there are many rewards you can unlock.
The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Faction Showdown event allows players to join one of two available factions: Task Force 141 or Shadow Company . To complete the event, players must complete various tasks, both basic and specific to their chosen faction. So, here is the list of tasks that you must complete in order to complete the event.
Regardless of which faction you choose, you will need to complete a single community mission. Here’s what you need to do:
- Get up to 50 kills
In addition to the main community objective, there are a number of faction objectives to complete.

For Task Force 141, objectives will include using melee weapons and performing finishing moves. Another task requires you to take long range shots with combat rifles.
Shadow Company problems
If you decide to join the Shadow Company, you will need to complete a number of different tasks. Objectives include scoring SMGs from behind, using launchers and lethal equipment in an attempt to gain the upper hand.
In short, you will use whatever is available in your gear. Keep in mind that you can switch between Task Force 141 or Shadow Company as many times as you like during the event , allowing you to complete some or all of the Operator kills from the main challenge for your chosen faction until you complete the event. for both sides.
At each stage of the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown events, players will receive unique cosmetic items. Here is a list of all the rewards that players can win during the event.
- Completing the main task – Business card, Emblem
- Accomplishment of specific tasks of the faction – transitions between levels, coloring of vehicles.
- Complete all Faction Special Challenges – Weapon Blueprint
Players can unlock exclusive rewards by completing all five Faction Challenges in the Faction Showdown event in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Finally, the faction that emerges victorious in this event (Task Force 141 or Shadow Company) by securing the most community operative kills in the main challenge will unlock an additional reward.
This reward will be a free Operator skin for Soap and Horangi , depending on the winning team, as well as a universal weapon camouflage and a Double Battle Pass XP token for one hour .
