Faction Showdown event in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.
Each season of Modern Warfare 2 includes a new themed event related to the current season’s story, and this one is no different. Once again, players will have the opportunity to complete quests to earn exclusive rewards.
The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 Faction Showdown limited time event began on August 4, 2023 and will run until August 16, 2023.
The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Faction Showdown event allows players to join one of two available factions: Task Force 141 or Shadow Company . Here is a breakdown of the tasks you must complete to complete the event.
You will be able to access the Events tab in the game menu to select the faction you wish to join. Regardless of which side you choose, everyone will need to complete a core community challenge that remains the same for all players: earn up to 50 Operator kills.
Keep in mind that you can switch between Task Force 141 or Shadow Company as many times as you like during the event , allowing you to complete some or all of the Operator kills from the main challenge for your chosen faction until you complete the event. for both sides.
As we already mentioned, each faction of Task Force 141 or Shadow Company will have its own problems. These special challenges will allow you to get even more exclusive content in the Faction Showdown event.
Faction Task Force 141
- Emblem: Get 50 Operator kills.
- Loading Screen: Get 10 Longshots Operator kills with Battle Rifles.
- Vehicle Skin: Kill 40 ADS Operators with assault rifles.
- Charm: Kill 3 operatives with a melee weapon.
- Battle Pass Tier Skip: Perform a Finishing Move
By completing all 5 Task Force 141 faction challenges, players will unlock the SMG Blueprint Mastery reward .
Shadow Company faction
- Loading Screen: Get 50 Operator kills.
- Big Sticker: Get 15 long range kills while focusing on sniper rifles.
- Vehicle Appearance: Get 15 kills on operatives from behind with submachine guns.
- Charm: Get 10 kills on operatives with grenade launchers.
- Battle Pass Tier Skip: Kill 5 Operators with lethal gear.
Completing all 5 Shadow Company faction challenges will earn players the Sniper Blueprint Mastery Reward .
Finally, the faction that emerges victorious in this event (Task Force 141 or Shadow Company) by securing the most community operative kills in the main challenge will unlock an additional reward.
This reward will be a free Operator skin for Soap or Horanga , depending on the winning team, as well as a universal weapon camouflage and a Double Battle Pass XP token for one hour .
