Rumor has it that Gun Game and Gunfight modes are coming to Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 2 players   are demanding new maps and modes after the Season 1 Reloaded update. Luckily, with Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 update just around the corner, developers can take advantage of the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into the game.

With a tentative start date of February 1st for Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, the leaks shed some light on what to expect. Earlier leaks have shown that the classic map “Castle” and “Ronin Operator” may already be in the new season.

Additionally, previous leaks have also suggested that Cranked and Plunder could appear in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, respectively. While Cranked is a welcome addition, the possibility of Gun Game and Gunfight appearing in Modern Warfare 2 is sure to spark more interest from players.

Call of Duty frontman TheGhostOfHope retweeted the image shared by BKTOOR5, the same account that leaked Cranked and Plunder. The image contains what looks like logos for Gun Game and Gunfight, two of Call of Duty’s most popular game modes.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, a rumor of leaked images suggests that these modes could arrive in Season 2.

Gunfight made its debut in Modern Warfare, and a mode that sees players go head-to-head in a small-map match could naturally find its place in the sequel.

Meanwhile, Gun Game challenges players to cycle through an assortment  of weapons  that change with each kill. The fan-favorite mode has provided unforgettable moments of chaos after appearing in multiple Call of Duty games.

Infinity Ward is keeping quiet when it comes to plans for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2. Hopefully players will know what to expect as February 1 approaches.
