Rated game Modern Warfare 2.
Modern Warfare 2 players must abide by Call of Duty League rules and restrictions in ranked play. For those not familiar with the CDL, this means 4v4 matches with certain weapon restrictions. The full set of rules can be found on the CDL web page .
To access Modern Warfare 2 ranked play, you must be at least level 16.
Modern Warfare 2 ranked maps and modes consist of the following combinations:

Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Games and Rewards
There are seven skill divisions in ranked play , from the lowest bronze division to the highest with the rainbow division. In addition to the seven skill divisions, players will have the opportunity to climb into the Top 250 .
If you get past Iridescent and make it into the top 250, “your name will appear on a special top 250 leaderboard.”
As with Vanguard, Modern Warfare 2 players will have a Skill Rating , also known as SR. Your SR will determine your skill division, so this is the number you want to increase after each match.
Modern Warfare 2 ranked play will also use a different set of ranks than SR or Skill Divisions. This will give players the opportunity to move up from rank 1 to rank 50 . This particular rank does not reset with each season like SR does.
Each player will start at rank 1, and for every rank 5, the player’s rank icon will be updated and “provide a set of exclusive rewards for ranked play, including skins at rank 5 and 50.”
In terms of Ranked Play rewards, players can also expect to receive Skill Division skins based on their highest rank in that season. The first time you finish in the Gold Division or above, you will receive an exclusive one-time reward.
