Ranked play has been confirmed for Modern Warfare 3.

Ranked Play is the official 4v4 multiplayer experience for  Modern Warfare® II , using the official rules, restrictions, maps and modes from  the Call of Duty League ,  which can be found here . Whenever the  Call of Duty League rules are updated , expect changes to the ranked play rules to follow.

Players must be at least level 16 to access ranked play, but in this mode, all unlimited items, including weapons and attachments, will be automatically unlocked to ensure a level playing field for all players.

Modern Warfare 3 will soon feature competitive ranked play, meaning players will once again have the opportunity to advance through the ranks and earn rewards along the way.

Since its introduction in Season 2 of  Modern Warfare 2,  CoD players have enjoyed Ranked Play mode while improving their skills, climbing the ranks, and earning exclusive rewards.

Ranked play allows players to play like the pros with limited cards, weapons, and special rules to make the game as competitive as possible.

Modern Warfare 3 ranked play will arrive  during MW3 Season 1 Reloaded  , which is expected  sometime in January  .

At the Call of Duty Next event, it was revealed that Treyarch was looking to bring ranked play to MW3, as Greg Reisdorf, creative director for Sledgehammer’s multiplayer game, said they would “refresh it, modernize it from Modern Warfare 2. Midway through the first season there should be Ranked mode released.”
