Warzone & Modern Warfare 2 October 23 Patch Notes

One of the biggest changes that the October 23rd update brought was another nerf to Lockwood 300. This shotgun dominated Warzone matches thanks to its powerful Maelstrom Dual Trigger attachment, which despite being nerfed in the previous update, still dominated the in-game lobbies.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue where split screen would not work properly.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when launching The Haunting content from a co-op mission lobby.
  • Fixed an issue where exiting the title screen and re-entering the main menu would cause the soul counter to display “0 souls”.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rain of Death blueprint in the battle details widget would display a placeholder image.
  • Fixed an issue where navigating the Soul Capture rewards menu would play the wrong sound.
  • Fixed an issue where the Chainsaw preview image would show the pickaxe being on the ground.
  • Fixed an issue where the red indicator above enemy operators would not appear on some night maps.
  • Fixed an issue where the Skeleton Operator’s staff would not align with the hands in the Operator Select menu.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue where the character model’s arms could become dislodged when switching seats while leaning out of the vehicle.
  • Fixed an issue where players could accidentally get a Juggernaut killstreak from a UFO on Al Mazra (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where the tiara icon would follow the player rather than the item in the DMZ in Al Mazrah (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where the player could use a weapon while carrying a hostage in the DMZ.
  • Fixed an issue where a placeholder image could be displayed in the Rotation Battle Royale single player thumbnail.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when accessing the DMZ menu .
  • Fixed an issue where the Swamp Monster would not retreat as intended in Al Mazrah (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where unintended numeric text could appear on screen in Al Mazra (Night) mode.
  • Fixed an issue where The Butcher could appear frozen after being killed during the execution animation.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck under a ship near Sawah village in Al Mazrah (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where a player could be kicked out of a match if they crossed the Ghost Train portal while under the influence of a shock stick from an automatic weapon equipped in Al Mazrah (Night).
  • Fixed an issue where players could duplicate weapons using a workbench in the DMZ.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could use NVGs without having them in their inventory in the DMZ in Al Mazrah (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where ghosts could not be killed with a sniper rifle in Al Mazrah (at night).
  • Fixed an issue where the Foresight Killstreak drop was a reward for the UFO boss.
