Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 October 11th Patch Notes

On October 11, the CoD developers released a new update that fixed various bugs, including the appearance of the Gaia skin, some gameplay changes, and weapon balancing in an effort to change the game’s meta.

GLOBAL

OPERATORS

  • Gaia (New operator skin)
    • The base skin has added visuals that reflect the same level of visibility as the BlackCell skin.
    • Improved visibility compensation 

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to return to the main menu when viewing some finishing move options. 
  • Fixed an issue that could cause incorrect unlock criteria to be displayed for some finishing moves.
  • Fixed an issue where a random spawn skin could be used in the Operators tab after the player selected one of the spawn skins in the Showcase tab.
  • Fixed an issue where selected Operator finishing moves could reset.

    • Neck damage multiplier reduced.

    • Head damage multiplier increased.

    • Neck damage multiplier from explosive fire has been reduced.
    • Upper torso damage multiplier from volley fire has been reduced.

    • The damage range at close and medium range has been reduced.
    • Neck damage multiplier increased.

      • Close range damage reduced.
      • The damage range at close and medium range has been reduced.

RATING GAME IN THE WAR ZONE

  • Closed SR exploit (Alt+F4).
    • We will continue to monitor ranked Warzone play to maintain integrity and stability.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from changing/customizing operators in the DMZ when using a controller.
  • Fixed an issue where using a new finishing move would not replace a previously used finishing move in the DMZ.
