New Gulag for Warzone 2 Season 3
The developers have given players the first in-depth look at Warzone 2 Season 3, and the update should bring a brand new gulag that the player enters upon death.
Gulag is one of the key features that sets Warzone apart from battle royale rivals like Fortnite and Apex Legends, and gives players the option to join the fight after death by winning a small battle with the enemy again.
The Warzone 2 gulag received many changes in Warzone 2. Initially starting as a 2v2 battle, Season 2 returned to the 1v1 format from the original and did away with The Jailer.
Once the Season 3 update goes live, defeated players will enter the Blacksite , not to be confused with the Black Site Stronghold that appears on the regular Al Mazrah map.
Only a few images of the new Gulag have been released so far, but the Season 3 blog has given fans an idea of how the map will play.
It stated: “A training ground for operatives wishing to return to the war zone, this roughly rectangular asymmetrical map features several interior spaces and long exterior routes.
The blog also reveals that Blacksite will appear as a Gunfight map in Modern Warfare 2 Season 3, meaning multiplayer fans will be able to “learn its routes” by going into 2v2 mode or a private match.
There has been no mention of any further changes to the Warzone 2 Season 3 Gulag format, so players can expect overtime capture the flag mechanics and gear pools that include SMGs, assault rifles, and LMGs.
The new Blacksite Gulag will arrive in Warzone 2 on April 12, along with the Blackcell Battle Pass and the Recruit A Friend feature.
