Modern Warfare 3: All prohibitions in a Ranked Play.

 On Thursday morning, the official Call of Duty Updates account confirmed that Ranked Play is now available to players without any further issues.

Fans of competitive Call of Duty will be able to play like the pros, but that also means adhering to the CDL ruleset.

When crafting gear in MW3 ranked play, some weapons will be restricted due to CDL rules. If you’re familiar with ranked play, you know that shotguns and machine guns usually have restrictions, but check out the full list of restricted weapons for ranked play in MW3 below:

The Gutter Knife and Karambit were not limited, despite being favored by professional players, the developers introduced a nerf to melee weapons in response to player complaints. Melee weapons in ranked play require two hits to kill an enemy.

In addition to the list of MW3 weapons above, keep in mind that all MW2 weapons are limited in ranked play.

On January 19, Treyarch revealed a list of restrictions that are not yet active in the game, but will be implemented in the near future.

The CDL rules also determine which attachments players can use in ranked play in MW3. The following investments are prohibited in Modern Warfare 3 ranked play :
