Modern Warfare 3: Vortex Event
Vortex is a Call of Duty MW3 New Year’s event that has an otherworldly theme .
The event features three versions of fan-favorite Modern Warfare 3 (2023) maps, as well as 15 rewards that players can earn as they play.
The Vortex event in MW3 will begin on January 3, 2024 and end on January 17, 2024 . Vortex follows the CODMAS event and adds a new LTM to the first season of MW3. During this period, players are invited to immerse themselves in the exciting activities and challenges that the Vortex event offers.
The new mode will be free for everyone, with a unique twist. The player will spawn with a ray gun from the Zombies game mode, which can kill enemies in one shot. Whenever a player with a ray gun is killed, the owner of the ray gun will change. The player who kills it will become the new owner. This will continue until the player reaches the kill limit. The player who reaches the limit first will win everything.
The Vortex event will feature three maps, each with its own unique theme:
Tetanus – Rust Remix
Tetanus is a mysterious, otherworldly take on Rust where neon green lighting gives the map a sci-fi feel.
Satan’s Quarry – Quarry Remix
In Satan’s Quarry, the map we once knew is dragged into hell, and the arena is filled with fire and brimstone.
Sporeyard – Boneyard Remix
In the new Boneyard, fungi will spread, and a variety of alien flora will grow throughout the map.
In the New Year’s Vortex event, 15 exclusive rewards will be awarded, with which the player will be able to progress. These rewards have not yet been confirmed, but most likely they will be calling cards, weapon amulets, decals, emblems and experience tokens .
Possibly : the main reward you need to earn is the animated “Magma” camouflage, which will be the LAST reward in this event. It’s reminiscent of the old ‘Afterlife’ camo from Mob of the Dead!
