Modern Warfare 3: Ranked Play.
Ranked Play is a highly competitive multiplayer mode that builds on the foundation of Modern Warfare II and follows the rules and restrictions of the Call of Duty League . It will be released with new rewards, maps, weapons and equipment in MW 3, offering players the opportunity to compete at a high level.
Modern Warfare 3 ranked play will arrive during Season 1 of MW3 Reloaded , which is set to release on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 .
It was revealed at the Call of Duty Next event that Treyarch is looking to bring the ranked game into MW3, as Greg Reisdorf, creative director at Sledgehammer, said they would “refresh it, modernize it from Modern Warfare 2. ” Then we will release Ranked Play in the middle of the first season.”
The developers detailed this in the MW3 Season 1 blog, which details what to expect: “The multiplayer ranked game, presented by Treyarch in partnership with Sledgehammer Games, launches mid-season and builds on the foundation laid in Modern Warfare II with new rewards , maps, weapons and content updates for Modern Warfare III.”
Ranked play in Modern Warfare 3 will feature the same maps and modes as Call of Duty League:
- Hardpoint: Invasion, Karachi, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal
- Search & Destroy: Highrise, Invasion, Karachi, Skidrow, Terminal
- Control: Highrise, Invasion, Terminal
