Modern Warfare 3: Rating – sniper rifles.

Snipers rely on one-shot kills to be viable in most gunfights. Due to the significant difference in rate of fire compared to other weapons, sniper rifles must be able to get the job done in one shot. The rest depends on the skill of the owner.

3. KV Inhibitor

Base rate of fire: 130.4 rpm.

Base bullet speed:: 540 ms.

 The  KV Inhibitor is an outstanding sniper rifle in Modern Warfare 3 due to its semi-automatic capabilities. While it’s definitely not the lightest sniper rifle, the KV Inhibitor certainly packs a punch and players can fire off multiple shots quickly.

The KV Inhibitor in MW3 has a new name and looks and feels like a classic Dragunov. Unlike the MW2019 version, this sniper’s damage and overall speed make it easy to use at almost any range in the game.

2.KATT-AMR

How to unlock: Reach player level 4.

Best build: long-range.

Base damage: 360 headshots, 216 upper torso, 207 lower torso.

Base firing range : 78 m to cause effective and minimal damage at a bullet speed of 660 m/s.

Base rate of fire: 41.4 rpm.

Base bullet speed:: 760 ms.

KATT-AMR The MW3 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that, like its counterparts, boasts high mobility and damage. This sniper rifle has excellent shooting and aiming speed, allowing players who like to run with it to feel comfortable and fast.

If it weren’t for the large Longbow magazine, this sniper could be considered one of the best. However, the three ranged options available in the game are very powerful, and there are small details that set them apart from each other.

1. Longbow is the best sniper rifle in MW3.

How to unlock: Reach player level 4.

Best build: rapid-fire or medium-range fire.

Base damage: 240 headshots, 180 upper torso, 120 lower torso.

Base firing range : 12.7 m for effective engagement range and 63.5 m for minimum engagement range at a bullet speed of 770 m/s.

Base rate of fire: 111.1 rpm.

Base bullet speed:: 550 ms.

The Longbow could be classified as a sniper rifle in MW3, but it hardly looks like one thanks to the huge standard magazine size of 25 rounds.

It uses a bolt-action mechanic, and while it looks like a modified assault rifle it definitely feels like the most traditional sniper option of the three. When properly equipped, the Longbow ‘s speed and mobility can be a formidable force.

You can also use the MW2 sniper rifles, but we think the new MW3 sniper rifles are overall better and much easier to unlock if you’re new to Modern Warfare.
