Modern Warfare 3: Rating of light machine guns.
If you need a weapon with more ammo capacity, power, and range, it’s helpful to know the best LMGs in Modern Warfare 3 to suit your personal playstyle.
Our selection of the best LMGs is subjective , and they may not necessarily be the ones you agree with or think are best to use.
5. TAQ Eradicator
The TAQ Eradicator is part of the Tactique Verte platform from Modern Warfare 2 and is similar to the LMG version of the TAQ-56 assault rifle from that game. The TAQ Eradicator uses a prototype firing method that transitions from a closed to an open bolt system, starting with an incredibly high rate of fire before quickly slowing down and becoming more accurate. Using the right modules on the TAQ Eradicator will help you control your weapon’s recoil. However, after a slight nerf in Season 3 Reloaded, the weapon’s sprint speed and ADS are not very high.
4. Holger 26
The Holger 26 is a very powerful LMG, but to get the most out of it you will have to sacrifice a lot on speed and mobility. In this regard, we recommend going all-in on modules that increase its damage and stability. Given its large magazine and high damage, this weapon is ideal for holding key positions on any map.
3. TAQ Evolvere
The TAQ Evolvere deserves a place on our list of the best LMGs in MW3, and it certainly goes toe-to-toe with other guns in its class and is a great choice for players who like to play a little slower and more methodically. While it doesn’t feel bulky, several nerfs from previous seasons keep it in third place among LMGs in Season 4 Reboot.
2. Bruen Mk9
The Bruen Mk9 is a light machine gun, but it’s actually pretty damn heavy. This is a heavy weapon with a huge magazine, capable of continuous suppressive fire, this is the weapon for those who like to fire a continuous stream of bullets. Using the Bruen Mk9 almost feels like you have a mini Gatling gun in your hands, and if that sounds appealing, you should give this weapon a try. Despite a slight nerf in the Season 3 update, the Bruen Mk9 remains a popular choice in MW3 Season 4 Reloaded.
1. DG-58 LSW
The DG-58 LSW was the best light machine gun in MW3 . Its long-range damage is virtually unmatched, and its low recoil allows you to score consistent headshots. The DG58 LSW is the DG56’s larger cousin, but unlike its assault rifle counterpart, this LMG is capable of firing at incredible speeds, leaving many enemies dead before its magazine runs out of ammo. When used with the JAK Nightshade Rifle Kit to enhance damage, recoil, and movement, this LMG becomes unstoppable.
