Modern Warfare 3: When will ranked play appear?

Ranked play allows players to play like the pros with limited cards, weapons, and special rules to make the game as competitive as possible.

Ranked play for Modern Warfare 3  will begin during the first season of MW3 Reloaded . While the official December start date for Season 1 has not yet been confirmed, we expect the Season 1 Reboot update to release sometime in January 2024.

At the Call of Duty Next event, it was revealed that Treyarch was going to bring ranked play to MW3, as Greg Reisdorf, (creative director at Sledgehammer) said that they would “refresh it, modernize it from Modern Warfare 2. ” Then we’ll release it midway through the first season.”

The developers doubled down on this release in the first blog for the first season of MW3, which said: “There is still room for surprises throughout the season.” including MP ranking, special  mid-season snow  event and more. Stay tuned for even more details in the coming weeks.”

While no details have yet been revealed about how this mode will work, it is expected to continue to encourage players to climb the skill divisions and earn SR along the way.

The current version of MW2 ranked play requires players to adhere to the rules and restrictions of the Call of Duty League (CDL). If you’re not familiar with the CDL format, players can play Search and Destroy, Setup, and Control modes in 4v4 matches with certain weapon restrictions .
