Modern Warfare 3: How to win a battle in Gulag
The Gulag is a small symmetrical arena where players fight 1 on 1 . Whoever wins is sent back to Warzone, while the loser is sent back to the lobby. You can only enter the Gulag once per round. If you get far enough into the game, the Gulag will close, locking it out to all players.
Both players will receive the same random equipment and will be forced to fight. After a short countdown, the battle begins.
Confidence is key, but it is equally important to approach the situation strategically rather than recklessly attack with guns drawn.
Winning a one-on-one fight in the Gulag is all about using your gear to your advantage, so throw a flashbang if you have one, use a Molotov to force the enemy out of cover, or sit back and wait for him to peek out . If you have a submachine gun, keep in mind that you need to be within range to deal significant damage. Check what equipment you’ve been given – things like grenades can be extremely useful in 1v1 combat, damaging the enemy without putting you in harm’s way and allowing you to get away from any sticky situation.
Choose your time to attack and be patient, you need to read your opponent before you make a move. If they seem to want to push, maintain line of sight to stop them. If they like to play more passively, take advantage of using the right angles and equipment.
The biggest change in Gulag is how overtime works, as the old capture the flag point has been replaced with a lift. The Lift is a rope that appears in the middle of the Arena that you can use to escape and earn your freedom.
