Modern Warfare 3: How to unlock the Mercury camouflage.
Prestige camos are an item introduced in Modern Warfare to add an extra incentive to those who have already obtained every mastery camo in the game. Season 5 of MWIII is no different and has added a really nice animated prestige camouflage .
How to get the Mercury camouflage:
- Level up your chosen weapon to max level (this can be any MWII or MWIII weapon you have in your Gunsmith collection).
- Then earn the One Trick Weapon Prestige camo for that weapon (earn 150,000 experience).
- Then earn the Molten Obsidian Weapon Prestige camo for that weapon (earn an additional 200,000 experience after unlocking one trick).
- Then earn the Mercury Weapon Prestige camo for that weapon (earn an additional 250,000 experience after unlocking one trick and Molten Obsidian for that weapon).
Prestige Weapon camouflages are unlocked individually for each MW3 and MW2 weapon. However, you can track progress for multiple Prestige Weapon camos at the same time, as it saves the total amount of experience for each of them.
As reported in the blog, Mercury’s camo in MW3 and Warzone is a “molten animated polyatomic style between dark green and purple.”
In fact, everything is very simple. For those of you who are already passively using these camos, you are on track to unlock Mercury when Season 5 launches. Hope you have some extra Double XP tokens at the ready!
The Mercury camo will likely be the second to last camo on the Prestige list as it is expected to be completed by Season 6. These camouflages have appeared in every major seasonal update since Season 3 Reloaded.
