Modern Warfare 2 players suggest adding another character customization
Personalization is an important aspect of any online multiplayer game as it allows players to personalize their experience and stand out from the rest of the players.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 offers quite a lot of customization options, as players can select an Operator from a roster of characters, as well as add skins, trinkets, and even decals to their weapons . Even popular streamers NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman got their skins.
However, one player feels that another option could be added to the game, feeling that the Operator setting is missing. Reddit user zipitnick posted a new customization idea on the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit.
The idea is military patches that players can place on their Modern Warfare 2 operators, adding some personalization to the characters.
Additionally, the OP also explains that these patches can be made similar to “weapon stickers” by embedding them into “any skin in one or more places such as helmet, chest or shoulders, etc.”
Users in the comments seem to really like the idea, as one comment said, “That would be great. Either put our emblem and business card as patches on our character, or better yet, let us choose our patches.”
Another comment also stated that “operator customization is long overdue”, clearly feeling that players should have more options to customize their operators.
Patch images can include military symbols from CoD history, player trophies or earned emblems, business cards, community images, whatever the developers want to wear, or even a clan flag image (although this will require moderation) and can be a great addition to express the player’s in-game achievements and clan or community affiliations, all of which are currently only visible through tags, business cards, and emblems that are only shown in replays or in a separate menu. Patches can also be earned by completing challenges, raids, missions, and more. Developers can sell patches through the store as an addition to other customization options.
