Modern Warfare 2 free multiplayer mode
Activision will periodically give away free trials to try and encourage new players to try out the latest version of Call of Duty. The Modern Warfare 2 Free Access Period will allow players to try out the multiplayer mode with the Season 1 Reboot content in the spotlight.
When will Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Free Trial be available?
The first free access period for Modern Warfare 2 will run from December 15 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM GMT until December 19 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 18:00 GMT .
This will give Call of Duty fans five days to test Modern Warfare 2 for free. Modern Warfare 2’s free multiplayer access will likely come and go throughout the seasons, so we’ll let you know when to expect the next one.
How to download Modern Warfare 2 for free
To play Modern Warfare 2 for free during the free period, you need to find the game in your platform’s store.

- Go to the appropriate console store – PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. d.
- Search for “Modern Warfare 2 Free Access”
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 free trial should be available for download
- Download it and launch the game to play
Free access to Modern Warfare 2: deliveries, modes and more
Free multiplayer access to Modern Warfare 2 will be limited to three maps : Shipment , Farm 18 and El Asilo . Luckily, players will be able to try out the new and improved version of the Shipment, introduced with the Season 1 Reboot update. Plus, Farm 18 is a fan favorite that players are sure to love.
In terms of game modes, you can go to Team Deathmatch , Kill Confirmed , Domination , and Hardpoint . It offers a varied selection of objective-based modes and killer races.
You’ll be able to experience the aforementioned modes in the standard first-person perspective, or in the new third-person perspective that’s back in Modern Warfare 2.
