Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Trophy Hunt Event: Start Date, Rewards & More
The developers have confirmed that the Trophy Hunt event will start in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 on Friday, April 14, 2023 .
While the Season 3 update releases on April 12, the official blog reveals that Trophy Hunt will begin “48 hours after launch”, meaning players will have a full weekend to get the upper hand.
During the Trophy Hunt event, all players will receive a trophy when they are eliminated in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which can then be collected – similar to the tag in a confirmed kill.
These “small decorative challenge coins” drop in all modes of both games and can be exchanged for valuable rewards after the match ends.
At the moment, it is unclear whether any player can collect trophies or only the one who made the kill. There is also no information on whether there is a limit on the number of trophies that can be worn at a given time.
The developers have mentioned that “more details about this event will be available as part of the Warzone 2.0 Tactical Review blog this season”, so we’ll be sure to update this section as soon as we know more.
Once players have collected enough trophies, they can be exchanged for rewards by going to the Events tab in the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 menus. An exact list will not be available until the Trophy Hunt event begins, but some of the have already been confirmed.
Here are all the loot rewards in MW2 and Warzone 2:
- Weapon Blueprints
- Vehicle Skins
- Battle Pass Token Tier Skips
Loyal players who receive multiple rewards throughout the event will also receive exclusive Operator skins for their efforts.
