The best weapons in Modern Warfare 2 season 5

Finding a meta- weapon in Modern Warfare 2 is not an easy task as there are so many weapons in the arsenal to choose from.

If you’re ready to dive into Warzone 2 and want to know what are the best weapons to use, be sure to check out our list of the best weapons and gear to use in Warzone 2.

VEL 46

The MP7 has always been a favorite among Call of Duty fans. The Modern Warfare 2 version, the VEL 46, is still a very good short-range option, with excellent TTK and amazing mobility. Reminiscent of the original version, it has low recoil and can be more than reliable at medium range, which is unnatural for a submachine gun.

Despite the fact that VEL 46 ranked higher in previous seasons, its competitors, such as Vaznev-9k and Fennec, gave way to it.

F.R. Avancer

After the FR Avancer assault rifle, also known as the FAMAS in Black Ops, was introduced in the Season 5 update, it made a name for itself by beating some of the top tier weapons to earn a place on this list.

This weapon has an increased rate of fire, not a bad range, good handling and time to kill, which makes it invincible at medium and long distances against other assault rifles or even submachine guns.

SA-B 50

The SA -B 50 stands out in the game as a premium sniper rifle optimized for speed and accuracy. has great maneuverability and mobility. While it may have a slower rate of fire and recoil control compared to other rifles, its superior handling and mobility make it an exceptional choice among marksman rifles.

After several competitors were nerfed, this weapon increased in popularity, allowing players to take out enemies at medium to long range in the game.

Kastov-74u

Almost no one argues that the Kastov-74u assault rifle is one of the best weapons in Modern Warfare 2. With low recoil, high mobility, and ultra-fast kill times, you simply can’t go wrong with the Kastov-74u. .

This assault rifle is more like a submachine gun, with stopping power capable of surpassing both weapon classes at the best ranges. While its headshot damage was previously nerfed, it is still a formidable weapon.

SP-R 208

Modern Warfare 2 is more dominated than ever by fast scope, and while sniper rifles are a powerful choice, it’s the SP-R 208 Marksman Rifle that appeals to most players.

The SP-R has an incredibly fast aiming speed and can single-shot almost any part of the torso, allowing players to get one-shot kills with ease. The SP-R 208 has managed to avoid a nerf in previous seasons, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it stays this powerful for too long.

Kastov 762

The Kastov 762 assault rifle from Modern Warfare 2 is an improved version of the Kastov 545, albeit a little harder to use. What makes the Kastov 762 so effective is its damage output, with which you will win almost any head-to-head firefight at around 38 meters away.

In multiplayer, 6v6 makes it a near-perfect choice, just a bit harder to use than some of the other options on this list. Despite the headshot nerf in Season 4 Reloaded, the Kastov 762 is still an effective weapon.

fennec

Fennec has traditionally been a fantastic choice for any Call of Duty. It has just about everything you want in a submachine gun, including a fast TTK up close. It’s also forgiving, so you don’t even have to be a super accurate player to get the most out of it. Of course, you won’t win long range firefights, so use it like a traditional submachine gun and you’ll have no problem dominating Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer.

Vaznev-9k

The Vaznev-9k is a powerful yet easy-to-use submachine gun that will serve you well on any map and in any situation.

Like the M4, the Vaznev-9k has almost everything – solid damage, high mobility and low recoil. It has become a popular ranked submachine gun, and it’s certainly easy to see why. Even though its range was reduced in the previous season of Reloaded 4, Vaznev will always serve you well, no matter the map or mode.

M4

The M4 has been a consistently powerful weapon in every Call of Duty game, and of course it’s a great choice in Modern Warfare 2 as well.

Being the first assault rifle you unlock, and its platform leading to other great options, there’s no reason not to give the M4 a try when you’re just getting started and collecting your first gear. But even if you play for a while, it’s so consistently reliable that you’ll rarely feel at a disadvantage. Despite his latest nerf that players didn’t like, he is still very strong due to his versatility and ease of use, making him worthy of a place on the list of the best weapons in MW2.

The TAQ-56 is the best weapon in Modern Warfare 2 right now.

An absolute classic, the SCAR is present in Modern Warfare 2 as the TAQ-56, and players are happy to see that it is still at the top of the meta. The AR quickly came into the spotlight thanks to its excellent range, incredibly low recoil, and unique scope.

Assault rifles are incredibly powerful in Modern Warfare 2, and the TAQ-56 can dominate both up close and from a distance. The weapon has been nerfed a bit in previous seasons, but that hasn’t knocked it out of first place in Season 5.
