January 20 Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Updates: What’s Changed.

Since the start of the season, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players have been complaining about navigation in the battle pass. While the new concept has received high praise, players have experienced a stutter while navigating through the Battle Pass.

The developers have fixed this issue by improving navigation.

January 20 Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Update Notes

  • crashes
    • This update contains several fixes to reduce known crashes. We continue to prioritize improving stability and fixing crashes across all platforms.
  • Battle Pass
    • Improved Battle Pass navigation, including fixes for some players that were getting stuck.
    • A new feature has been introduced to highlight any unspent Battle Pass Tokens.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue that caused multiple speaker names to remain on screen when four or more players were chatting.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Combat Knife to be displayed in the Armory.
  • Fixed an issue with directional navigation for Gunsmith progress.
  • Fixed an issue where players could move text on attachments in Gunsmith.
  • Fixed some issues that could cause the menu to close unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the player’s screen to go black when exiting a polygon.
  • Fixed an issue where previewing the right pack in the store would display incorrect content.
  • Fixed a visual issue that caused rainbow colors to appear when fast moving between menus.
  • Fixed a UI bug that caused all operators to use the same execution.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the player’s screen to go black while navigating the Store.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Store Bundle cinematic purchase to play multiple times.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Toronto Ultra Pack to display after purchase despite purchasing another pack.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused melee kills to not track.
  • Fixed an issue with distance tracking in Long Range Challenges when opponents used the Last Stand perk.

BATTLE ZONE 2.0

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes match wins would not count towards Calling Card Challenges.
  • Fixed an issue where players could earn XP when their own suppressor mine was damaged.
  • Fixed an issue where players could retain the effects of Dead Silence or Battle Fury by purchasing a new field upgrade while another was already active.
  • Fixed an issue where players could gain experience when using a stimpack while in gas.
  • Fixed an issue where the game could freeze and disable the player or cause a loss of functionality after interacting with an equipment box.

 

DMZ

  • Fixed a number of issues affecting the functionality and process of equipping, swapping, and previewing weapons from insured slots.
  • Fixed an issue where opening a medium or large backpack weapon slot would initially block scrolling down to the main gear items.
  • Fixed an issue where players could duplicate items.
  • Fixed an issue that caused party members to appear as “Not Ready” while preparing for a match.
  • Fixed an issue that caused items from the player’s backpack to appear in the stash.
  • Fixed an issue where hovering over a locked contraband weapon would not update the weapon information in the UI preview.
  • Fixed an issue where players could save for longer than the scheduled end time of a match.
  • Fixed an issue where two players could receive items from the same shipment at the same time.
