How to play Modern Warfare 2 free multiplayer
The upcoming free trial period for Modern Warfare 2 will allow Call of Duty fans to test out what has become the best-selling Call of Duty game of all time. The Season 2 Reloaded update will soon bring players a ton of new content, as well as new free trial dates.
Activision tends to give out free trials periodically to encourage new players to try out the latest version of Call of Duty. The second period of Modern Warfare 2 free access will allow players to try out the multiplayer mode with Season 2 Reloaded content in the spotlight.
Activision has confirmed that the second free access period for Modern Warfare 2 will run from March 16 to March 20 .
This will give Call of Duty fans five days to test Modern Warfare 2 for free. Modern Warfare 2’s free multiplayer access will likely come and go throughout the seasons, so we’ll let you know when to expect the next one.
In terms of content, players will be able to immerse themselves in six multiplayer maps, including the new Himmelmatt Expo coming with Season 2 of Reloaded and the fan-favorite Delivery. In addition, eight modes will be available to players.
To complete Modern Warfare 2’s free access offer, players will have the opportunity to try out the Special Ops Raid 01 episode. Not to be confused with the new Raid Episode 2 coming with the Season 2 Update: Reboot, the free-to-play raid consists of Atom City.
- Core Maps (6v6): Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, Shipment, Dome and Himmelmatt Expo.
- Main modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Gun Game, Infected, One in the Chamber and All or Nothing.
- Combat Cards: Santa Sena
- Battle map modes: ground war and invasion
- Special Ops: Atomgrad – Special Ops Raid Episode 01 (Standard difficulty only)
