How to play Modern Warfare 2 free multiplayer
Activision tends to give out free trials periodically to encourage new players to try out the latest version of Call of Duty. The second period of free access to Modern Warfare 2 will allow players to try out the multiplayer mode with the Season 2 Reboot content.
According to the leaks, the second free access period for Modern Warfare 2 will take place from March 16 to March 20 .
For now, these are just leaks from the Xbox Store backend. We’ll keep you posted as soon as there’s official confirmation of the next Modern Warfare 2 free trial.
This will give Call of Duty fans five days to test Modern Warfare 2 for free. Modern Warfare 2’s free multiplayer access will likely come and go throughout the seasons, so we’ll let you know when to expect the next one.
To play Modern Warfare 2 for free during the free period, you need to find the game in your platform’s store.
Here’s how to download Modern Warfare 2 for free:
- Go to the appropriate console store – PlayStation , Xbox , Steam, etc.
- Find “Modern Warfare 2 Free Access” on console or “Play for free” button on PC.
- A free trial of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 should be available to download.
- Download it and launch the game to play.
There is currently no indication of the content that will be available in the upcoming free trial period, but it’s safe to expect it to include Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 rebooted content.
