How to get your equipment in Warzone 2:

Gear has returned in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and provides multiple ways to get your own weapons , perks, and gear.
Gear may be what sets Call of Duty: Warzone apart from other battle royale games, but the community is divided on how common gear drops are. Some prefer the importance of ground mining and the emphasis on looting, but others prefer to get their gear right away.
Buy a Loadout Drop Grenade
Just like in the original Warzone, players can now purchase Gear Drop Grenade at Buy Stations. This gives everyone on their team full gear and cannot be used by anyone else.
Gear drops will cost more with each squad size, and will grant players their full gear, including their weapons, abilities, and gear. Here are the prices depending on the playlist:
- Solo: $8,000
- Duets: $16,000
- Trio: $24,000
- ATVs: $32,000
Buy your own weapons at the buy stations
While this won’t give you a full gear, you can actually buy a ready-made primary weapon from the stores around Warzone 2’s Al Mazra for $2,500.
Buy Stations work similarly in Warzone 2, allowing players to spend in-game money to buy various upgrades and redistribute fallen teammates. However, these buy stations also have a Primary Weapon tab where you can buy a primary weapon but nothing else.

Loadout Drops are back in Warzone 2, but unlike the original, you can’t buy them. Instead, there will be a Public Event “Gear Drop” where free items will drop “in the midst of battle royale matches”.
These loadouts are also not assigned to individual squads, they can be accessed by everyone, so each squad will fight for the same loadout.
Clear a fortress or Black Site
The third and most reliable way to get gear in Warzone 2 is to clear Stronghold or Black Site. These are AI-infested areas that contain high-level loot and full gear, including your abilities and gear.
The first squad to clear the Fortress and defuse the bomb will receive equipment and a key to the Black Site. Anyone else who arrives and clears the Fortress after that will receive their equipment, but not the Black Site key.
Black Sites are essentially fortresses with the best loot and a “permanent reward for weapon blueprints”.
