What is “Play Again” in Modern Warfare 2?

CoD players have long complained about lobby disbanding, where they are sent into a completely new match where playing with the same players again is a rarity. While it’s not a direct solution to the problem, Infinity Ward is introducing the Play Again feature to Modern Warfare 2 with Season 5 Reboot, so here’s how it works.

The Play Again feature in Modern Warfare 2  allows players on the same team to play together again in the next lobby  . The developers have confirmed that single players and group leaders will have the option to choose to “Play Again” after each match.

While it doesn’t look like this will completely solve the lobby disbanding issue, this feature will allow players on the same team to stay together in the next match. So, you’ll likely face a completely different set of enemies.

This feature was adapted from Warzone, where players in the same squad could vote to stay together in the next match. While this may not be as useful in regular 6v6 matches, it can be especially useful in ranked games if you’re still aiming for the skill division rewards that will carry over into Modern Warfare 3.
