Chimera AR in Warzone 2: Best Build
Of all the durable assault rifles featured in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 , the Chimera boasts perhaps the highest rate of fire. You may recognize the Chimera as it is modeled after the Honey Badger from COD Ghosts, and its deadly mobility makes the Chimera a cross between an AR and an SMG. This makes it ideal for long and short range firefights.
Two important factors that players should keep in mind when equipping the Chimera are the perks and equipment associated with the weapon.
- Barrel: 6.5″ EXF Vorpal
- Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
- Underbarrel: Schlager Tango
- Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
Our Warzone 2 Chimera build uses the VLK LZR 7MW Laser and Bruen Flash Rear Grip to greatly improve overall weapon speed, including ADS, movement, and sprint to fire speed. The 6.5 ” EXF Vorpal Barrel increases damage range, movement speed and ADS speed.
We then opted for a Schlager Tango subbarrel to improve aim walking and recoil stability, allowing players to take advantage of the weapon’s mobility and engage distant targets.
Lastly, we opted for the 45-round magazine , which is essential to ensure you don’t run out of ammo and therefore be able to take out multiple enemies.
Perks:
- Basic Perk 1: Overkill
- Basic Perk 2: Double Time
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
- Deadly: Drill Charge
- Tactics: Flash Grenade
We recommend choosing Overkill so you can pair the Chimera with a sniper rifle like the Signal 50, and Double Time will improve your mobility. Launching Fast Hands allows you to switch weapons and quickly reload.
Finally, the Ghost perk will protect you from enemy UAVs and allow you to remain undetected. As for our equipment choices, Drill Charges can deal explosive damage through walls, while Flash Grenades blind opponents, making them easy to kill.
The Chimera Assault Rifle can be unlocked in Warzone 2 by getting two Assault Rifle kills in 15 different matches or by purchasing a bundle from the store .
