Call of Duty will be released on Nintendo Switch.

The latest games in the ultra-popular Call of Duty series are available on almost all major platforms, including PlayStation 4 and older generation Xbox One. Even the upcoming Black Ops 6 in 2024 is rumored to be cross-platform, but all the recent releases have not been released for the Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft did sign a deal with Japanese gaming giant Nintendo in February 2023, but has been quiet since then, with no hints of a potential release.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer  has quietly announced the tech giant’s intention to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo within the next ten years following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. He confirmed the same on Platform X (formerly Twitter) in December 2022, writing,

“Microsoft has made a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to @Nintendo following the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King. Microsoft is committed to helping bring more games to more people – no matter what they choose to play. @ATVI_AB”

According to  Insider Gaming , Call of Duty will arrive in  2025, when the next version of the Nintendo Switch releases  .

In addition to the mobile versions of the franchise, CoD Mobile and Warzone Mobile, the port of CoD to a handheld console is something that many members of the community have been eagerly awaiting, especially since the end of support for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS servers in 2014.
