When will Building 21 return to the Warzone 2 DMZ?
Warzone 2’s DMZ introduced the Building 21 zone, but it was disabled after just 24 hours.
Building 21 is a brand new area outside of Al Mazra offering a high risk but high reward experience. While it wasn’t there when the update launched, it finally went live on December 19th, but players were baffled when Infinity Ward announced that it was off after just 24 hours.
However, this will not disappear for long, Building 21 will return to the DMZ in Warzone 2.
Will Building 21 return to the DMZ? date and time
According to the in-game timer, DMZ 21 will return to Warzone 2 on Friday, December 23 at 9:00 pm PT and Saturday, December 24 at 12:00 pm ET / 5:00 am GMT .
During this time, players will need to collect as many DRC Building 21 access cards as possible before the area reopens, as it will likely only be open again for a limited time.
Whether or not it will be more than 24 hours this time remains to be seen, but with a plethora of valuable rewards to be earned, you don’t want to waste time looking for access cards in Al Mazra when you might be in building 21.
Infinity Ward didn’t reveal why they shut down Building 21 in Warzone 2’s DMZ, only that “the window for evacuation is limited” and players will need to “wait for future deployments” if they miss out.
As such, it looks like Building 21 will be a time-limited area that will return from time to time, keeping elusive rewards and secrets under wraps for even longer.
Some also speculate that building 21 was taken offline so soon because access cards weren’t used after each launch, allowing players to reload as many times as they needed, but that’s just speculation for now.
