We are creating the best M4 build for Modern Warfare 2 , combining range and mobility, making it the perfect all-round weapon for multiplayer.
First, we’ve equipped the FTAC Castle Comp with a muzzle muzzle that helps control the horizontal and vertical recoil of the M4, keeping the gun under control at long ranges. Additionally, the Tempus Hightower 20″ barrel is key to this build, as it boosts bullet speed, range, hipfire accuracy, and recoil control all rolled into one, making the M4 strong in almost any situation.
Then, to keep the M4 from being too slow, we add the Ravage-8 buttstock , which helps increase aiming speed, sprint time to fire, and crouch movement speed. This reduces the recoil control of the weapon, so we compensate for this with the Sakin ZX Grip with aiming stability.
Finally, we have brought back some aiming stability with the FSS Sharkfin underbarrel fin , which has no drawbacks.

Modern Warfare 2 has some well balanced perk packs, but we advise you to create your own set for the best M4 gear. In terms of base perks, Bomb Squad will protect you from a lot of explosives flying around the map, while Battle Hardened will make sure Flash Bangs don’t blind you for that long.
Bonus abilities unlock later in the game, and here we recommend Quick Hands . Since we didn’t equip the extended magazine, you can often reload it, so speeding up the process is more than welcome. Then, for your final Ultimate Perk, Ghost is a must to hide you from UAVs and other radar devices.
When it comes to gear, you can’t go wrong with Semtex , which will deal significant damage, and Flashbang Grenades , to blind enemies before you start killing.
For a field upgrade, we recommend using Dead Silence , as you will be able to sneak around and attack your enemies.
How to unlock M4 in Modern Warfare 2
The good news is that the M4 is unlocked from the start in Modern Warfare 2 , so you don’t have to do anything to get your hands on the assault rifle.

Best M4 Alternatives in Modern Warfare 2
