Black Ops 6: There will be no early access to the campaign.
Activision has confirmed that there will be no early access to the campaign.
In the last two Call of Duty games, the campaign was released a week early for those who pre-ordered, allowing everyone to complete the story before jumping into multiplayer and starting leveling up camo.
This wasn’t announced for Black Ops 6, so it was looking less and less likely as the launch date approached, but now Treyarch has confirmed the game will be out straight away on October 25.
“This year, we made the decision to ensure the community can dive into all the modes they want at the same time, so we’re going back to one big global launch moment on October 25,” they said. “That’s why there’s no early access for Black Ops 6 this year, just a countdown to launch.”
Players criticized Activision for the decision, saying it was a huge step back from the popularity of Early Access.
